Balance is not commission
Two figures that get confused regularly in everyday work. Both stand side by side in the partner account and in the partner list.
A partner program is only finished once the money comes back out cleanly. This chapter describes both routes in full: what a partner can redeem, what comes about in the process and what your accounts department sees of it.
Two figures that get confused regularly in everyday work. Both stand side by side in the partner account and in the partner list.
The only setting that separates the end customer case from the business partner case. Everything else, from the sign-up to the advertising material, is the same for both.
The partner converts it themselves, with no request landing with you. The money stays in the shop and creates a new order instead of leaving the till.
A worked example: at a 20 percent bonus the partner gives up €50.00 of balance and receives a voucher for €60.00. For them 60 is worth more than 50; for you a €60 voucher is cheaper than a €50 transfer, because you only give up the margin on an additional order.
Unlike the voucher, this route needs an action from you. The transfer itself happens outside the shop.
Every payout leaves a record. It is a payout receipt, not an invoice, and therefore shows no VAT.
Without this setting your receipt and the partner's invoice talk about two different figures. That shows up at the latest during reconciliation.
Settle the case once with your tax advisor before the first business partner invoices you. The plugin represents the process, it does not judge it.
For the settlement alone the receipt is enough. If your ERP should see the process, you additionally switch on a real order, separately for voucher and payout.
Everything on this page is generated straight from the plugin configuration. When a setting changes in the plugin, this page changes with it.
The voucher for your shop and the payout to the partner's bank account. Which route is allowed applies shop-wide as a rule and can be set for every partner individually to voucher, payout or both. A partner allowed both decides for themselves.
The sum of all entries less what the partner has already redeemed. Only this balance can be converted or paid out. Total commission and available balance stand side by side in the partner account and in the partner list, so the two are not confused.
For the voucher, either five tiered amounts from your own vouchers or a freely typed amount, not both at once. For the payout, either the five tiered amounts, out of the box 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 euros, or the whole balance in one go. There is no amount in between for payouts.
It is a percentage uplift per partner that increases only the value of the voucher. At a 20 percent bonus, 50 euros of balance become a voucher for 60 euros; the balance is charged only the 50. For you the voucher is still cheaper than a transfer, because you give up margin instead of cash.
A consecutive number from a real number range and the orders that make up the amount paid out, each with its partial amount. The receipt shows no VAT, because it is not an invoice document but a record of the payout. The invoice comes from the partner.
Through the net calculation. For partners from Germany with a stored VAT identification number the redeemed amount can be calculated as a net figure. Your receipt then names the net amount that the partner states on their invoice and tops up with VAT.
On request. For every redemption, switchable separately for voucher and payout, a real order by the partner arises with a pseudo product as the line item, separate tax rates for end customers and retailers, a tag of its own and its own shipping and payment method. For the settlement alone the receipt is enough.
Open, Paid out and Cancelled. The partner requests, you check in the Payouts section and confirm or decline. The transfer itself happens outside the shop, in the process you already have.
Yes, through minimum amounts. They apply separately to voucher and payout, so you can allow small vouchers and transfers only from a threshold upwards.
